At an early age, Kevin experienced being constantly told that he was dumb, stupid, and never going to amount to anything by his legal guardian. The verbal abuse he experienced left him broken and insecure. As a kid, Kevin chose to believe in the negative words spoken to him and those negative words would haunt him all the way into adulthood. Kevin struggled most of his life being insecure, feeling inadequate, and not feeling good enough. One person that Kevin did have in his corner who chose to speak life over him and deposit faith in him was his grandmother. Kevin experienced a crossroads moment that would change the course of his life after having a conversation with his grandmother. Kevin shared his dream of becoming an entrepreneur with his grandmother and although he shared the dream, he felt it wouldn’t ever be a dream he’d live because of not feeling smart enough.

It was Kevin’s grandmother who told him to stop walking in the shoes of negative opinions and start walking in the shoes of his greatness. Kevin’s grandmother encouraged him to know that he was not a product of what people thought or said, but that he was a product of whatever he chose to believe. As Kevin’s grandmother encouraged and believed in him, he began to believe in himself. As Kevin matured, he questioned, if words had the power to break him, could they also have the power to build? He later learned the power of words. As Kevin learned the power of words, he also learned of him having the gift of gab. Kevin found purpose in combining his pain, gift, and desire to build people up with words.

After learning his purpose, Kevin took his grandmother’s advice and began to walk in the shoes of his greatness and no longer the negative opinions of others. After graduating from the “School of Hard Knocks” with a degree in purpose, Kevin became determined to build people up with words of positivity using his gift to speak. Today, it is through his wisdom and expertise with words and writing, that he helps entrepreneurs across the world succeed against all odds to make an impact and income by starting and building 6-figure businesses.
